It’s taken many years of angry denial to admit I have a problem.

I’ve gone the NHS route, and private rehab and now I’m doing it my own way – helped a lot by the fact I live with a chef who doesn’t judge me and helps with little things like giving me small plate portions.

Encouragement not force. It’s the only way that’s working for me so far.

Tonight we had tapas which I strongly recommend. I know the NHS says eat big portions all in one go but all that did was make me worse and lead to other more damaging coping mechanisms. Little and often is working for me.

It’s not true that anorexics don’t ever feel hungry, we do. But the sight of a massive plate of food.. One bite and I feel full and guilty.
